Mr. Loomis joined the firm in 1984 already having 10 years of previous experience with a major insurance company and two employee benefits consulting firms.
He provides specialized actuarial advice and certification of actuarial reports and studies. His primary work is in the area of defined benefit pension plans. And, he's also involved with research and development of actuarial procedures and techniques, staff education, the design and programming of pension valuation systems and related software, and retiree health benefit studies. Mr. Loomis has certified Act 205 actuarial reports for Pennsylvania municipal pension plans since 1985.
He regularly attends seminars and professional conferences to complete continuing education requirements to maintain his enrolled actuary designation. Mr. Loomis has written many articles related to pension and other employee benefits programs.
